Gtreat expectations rest upon the U.S. and China, as the biggest economies in the developed and developing worlds, with regard to tackling challenges in the global economy and building a new world order. The governments have enjoyed a solid cooperation within the framework of G20. A rising China looks forward to an improved economic order and more effective responsiveness to other global challenges, and so will begin to participate in global affairs with a positive and constructive attitude and bear responsibilities commensurate with her status. China has benefited from the existing global economic order, and so will try to be a reviser or a reformer rather than a revolutionist in the world economic system. This article will assess Chinese influence on the global economic order and related U.S. factors from a long-term perspective. 相似文献

We live in a world which changing in all respects. Some aspects of the global order are obviously changing. Some of these changes are not yet complete as there has not yet been any essential change in quality or quantity. First, the global order is changing in terms of numbers. China-U.S. relationship is the most important one between two big powers in the world today. It is both bilateral and global by nature. How to handle this relationship is closely linked with the fundamental interests of the U.S. and China, as well as peace and stability in the Asia Pacific region and even in the world. So, a profound examination of the nature of U.S. strategy toward China and its evolution over the years will help to fully understand the opportunities and challenges China will meet in the course of peaceful development. 相似文献

after meetings of the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2010, especially the Rio + 20 Summit on Sustainable Development, there have been increasingly frequent debates on the post-2015 international development agenda (hereinafter referred to as "the post-2015 agenda "). From May to July 2013, the UN released three key reports on this issue.1 In September, the 68th UN General Assembly discussed laying a foundation for the post-2015 agenda.2 The UN will then set the final post-2015 agenda and expand inter-governmental negotiations by September 2014 so that it can be passed by the General Assembly in 2015 and be launched on ! January 2016. China urgently needs to establish a comprehensive and forward-looking engagement strategy to ensure a proper focus for the post-2015 agenda and promote the establishment of a new global partnership for development. 相似文献

China's rise has focused international attention in recent years and China Studies now tops the agenda of academia and decision-making circles around the world. The reasons can be traced to tremendous transformations that have occurred in China since it launched reforms and opening-up policies. These changes have given rise to adjustments in the global economy and ensuing shifts in the North-South power balance. In fact, China has increasingly evolved into a driving force for the global economy, providing it with opportunities for expansion and providing it with a more spacious, relaxed environment. Such a win-win situation benefits sustainable global growth. Therefore, a correct grasp of the channels for this interaction and recognition of the harmony in growth between China and the world is crucial, both for China's further integration into the world, and the world's better understanding of this rising Asian power. 相似文献

National economic security refers to the freedom of a sovereign state from any internal or external threats, either actual or perceived, to its economic interests. The notion varies in meaning from one country to another, due to their differences in security environment, cognition and defense capabilities. It took quite a long time for China to form its own definition in an overall, profound manner, with controversy still lingering among divergent interest groups and/or schools of thought. As the author sees it, formidable internal and external challenges threaten the country in this regard. We should maintain awareness of the risks from monopoly-driven mergers and acquisitions of foreign capital in a growing number of our industries. 相似文献

Over the past several years, some terms, such as the "Asian Century , the "rise of Asia" and the "rise of China and India, have become popular in international society. For some international observers, these terms simply reflect a global tendency; but for Asian people, they are more like visions. As members of Asia, China and South Asian countries have a responsibility to make these visions into realities, and these countries are trying their utmost to do so. 相似文献

After the outbreak of global financial crisis, the United States has been making great efforts, as its strategy, to push forward the Trans-Paciflc Partnership (TPP) and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) in an attempt to continue its dominating role in the world economic system by leading higher- standard globalization. Out of their interests on the sensitive issue of U.S. rebalancing strategy to Asia, the Chinese academia focuses more on the TPP and has not given enough attention to the TTIE However, the TTIP is actually more exclusive in nature to China. 相似文献

The British government initiated the concept of low-carboneconomy in its 2003 White Paper on energy, which constituted an economic model for higher economic output with low natural resource consumption and low environmental pollution. Since then, this concept of low-carbon economy as well as the economicmodel have been widely acknowledged and accepted by the world community. 相似文献

The 7^th Sino-German Security Dialogue Seminar is focused on "China, Europe and a new world order". Our discussions should include the world order in general, as well as in-depth exchanges on specific issues in the area of international relations that both countries deem important. I want to get to the point directly by stating a basic point: although many factors in the international politics continue to change, as old challenges still exist and new challenges keep cropping up, there still remains a cornerstone for the world order, which is the Unites Nations. This is a starting point very close to the real politics: we must advance the international politics within current structure, and I would like to stress that such international politics must be international politics for peace. 相似文献
