Modern Dutch-Chinese Dictionary,Cultural Fruit of Sino-Dutch Exchanges

THE first edition of the Modern Dutch-Chinese Dictionary was published in 1995 and an updated edition was published by the World Affairs Press in 2020.More than 8,700 new entries have been added to the dictionary compiled by a senior Chinese diplomat.The whole book con-tains a total of 67,000 entries and nearly 100,000 defi-nitions,covering vocabulary from 60 different indus-trial fields.It is currently the largest Dutch-Chinese bilingual dictionary in China.     

论我国《宪法解释程序法》的建立

我国宪法解释工作没有明确的宪法解释程序可遵循,现实中是按普通法律解释程序来援引适用的,存在着许多亟需解决的问题,主要有启动宪法解释程序的主体局限于国家机关,宪法专家参与宪法解释的过程没有制度化,以及宪法解释案没有统一书面表达形式等问题。我国应尽快制订一部《宪法解释程序法》,宪法解释程序法扩大提案主体的范围;建立宪法专家制度;明确规定宪法解释案的书面表达形式。     

Where love flies free: women, home, and writing in Cook County Jail

Several definitions of "home," drawn from dozens provided by the Oxford Dictionary of the English Language, underscore how a large urban county jail becomes many forms of home for the women detainees there. Drawing on the women's poetry and the mechanics of creative writing workshops facilitated by the author for the last seven years at Cook County Jail, this essay describes some of the realities of the criminal (in)justice system and how the women's writing becomes a way of writing against the grain of official discourse, thus altering certain definitions of this "home."     

Being Elite, 1931–2011: three generations of social change

Current interpretations of the People's Republic of China emphasize the discontinuities of 1949, and even 1978 to some extent. An examination of the experience of a Chinese family from 1931 to 2011 through three generations suggests that processes of elite formation are more complex and their interpretation might be more nuanced. In the process it highlights how one elite family managed to establish and maintain its elite status against a background of dramatic social change, and raises questions of the relationship between elite formation and the existence of a ruling class.     

身份理论视域下他者对“中国模式”的学术话语体系建构

中国模式正在成为后冷战时期西方定义中国身份的一个重要话语,以西方对"中国模式"进行研究为代表的"中国模式学术话语"是这一身份建构过程中的关键性环节。西方学术界试图从经济、政治、文化、社会和历史等维度建立中国模式与中国身份之间的关联,以简单而又有明确内涵的"西方中国模式"为中国定义身份。西方"中国模式"学术话语体系的形成及扩散在一定程度上影响了中国的认知图式和身份认同叙事。为此,我们有必要从构建中国的自我身份、解构西方叙事、提升解读中国道路的话语权等方面努力,不断增强中国道路或中国模式的正当性阐释,在更高的层面上实现自我认同、自我批判与自我超越。
