大学英语教学中的文化价值观培育

在国家安全的众多维度中,文化安全相当重要。英语学习是大学生接触异质文化的重要途径。调查表明：英语学习年限与学习者的目的语文化认同呈正相关,西方文化对大学生的文化价值观影响很大。因此,英语教学应对工作目标进行重新定位,引导学生理性面对,并有意识地在课堂上补充优秀的本土文化,以培养大学生正确的文化价值观。     

韩国文化产业发展的政府运作模式及其重要启示

韩国政府将文化产业的发展建设提升到国家最高意志层面,无疑为其文化产业的快速持续发展提供了重要保证。不过,这种政府主导性较强的文化产业发展模式也存在着一定的风险,企业和社会在文化产业的建设中急需发挥更大的主动性和推动性。借鉴政府运作模式在韩国文化产业发展中的成功经验,我国政府应当从以下四个方面着力加强文化产业的发展建设:一是形成完善的政策体系;二是建立健全法律法规;三是理顺政府行政管理机制;四是大力培养文化产业人才。     

浅谈公安管理中的角色作用

本文根据在公安管理中出现的角色越位或没有充分发挥角色的作用而出现管理的混乱，导致影响管理的效果的情况，提出了角色定位的理论依据和对策。     

TRANSITORY MOBILITY,CULTURAL HETEROGENEITY,AND VICTIMIZATION RISK AMONG YOUNG MEN OF COLOR: INSIGHTS FROM AN ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDY IN CAPE TOWN,SOUTH AFRICA

The coupling of racial and economic stratification has been found to result in a range of adverse outcomes for youth of color, including disproportionate exposure to violence and victimization. Primary explanations of these patterns, particularly at the micro‐level, have focused on the impact of street culture. In this article, we draw from a multiyear ethnography in Cape Town, South Africa, to offer a theoretical elaboration of the place of culture in contributing to victimization risks among urban minority young men. The study is based on data collected from a sample of 26 young men of color who lived on the Cape Flats between 2003 and 2006. Using grounded theory methods, we suggest the import of unequal access to spatial mobility as a multifaceted means by which culture mediates young men's risks for victimization in disadvantaged communities. We find that transitory mobility—conceptualized as youth's temporary access to cultural spaces outside their segregated residential neighborhoods—is an important source of cultural heterogeneity in townships that can intensify the strength of local social identities and outgroup antipathies directed at those whose mobility is perceived as a cultural threat. Transitorily mobile young men's cultural repertoires are a key facet of street efficacy that can either insulate them from risk or heighten their vulnerabilities. Our findings are suggestive of important sources of variation in young men's victimization outcomes in disadvantaged communities, offering insights about factors that shape risks beyond those linked to the victim–offender overlap in high‐risk settings.     

西部地区的文化冲突与法律调适

民族文化冲突造成的价值观念、民族心理和政治文化的嬗变是影响民族地区社会稳定的隐性文化因素.缓解与避免文化冲突必须进行民族文化适应.目前,西部地区的文化冲突已成为影响当地民族团结、社会稳定的重要因素,为此,应当在尊重文化发展规律的基础上,正视文化冲突的影响,将文化安全纳人法律的框架之内,在各民族间牢固树立团结稳定的核心思想借助法律武器捍卫国家的文化主权;我国的法律制度应当确立“国家认同”的核心价值观,让“祖国”、“中国人”成为各个民族间不可分离的文化纽带;要以宪法为核心,以文化法为主要内容,加快建立有中国特色的少数民族文化权利法律保护体系.     

MOTIVATION AND CONTROL OF CREATIVE WRITING

The author studies the role of cultural gatekeepers in presenting art to the public and the triple responsibilities they bear: to the artist, audience, and investors. How can these three often competing interests be balanced? Conclusions are drawn from interviews with ten Australian cultural gatekeepers working in the performing arts who discussed their programming priorities; these comments are contextualized by statements from eight Australian artists working in various media about the impetus behind their work. The findings of both aspects of the research are considered here for their programming and funding policy implications.     

The Value of Art and Culture in Everyday Life: Towards an Expressive Cultural Democracy

ABSTRACT

Ever since the earliest forms of mass media, the dichotomy of mass culture/high culture has been a topic of debate. The concept of cultural democracy has developed as a way to acknowledge a variety of cultural activities. Despite attempts to develop a broader understanding of culture, cultural policy still seems to reproduce the dichotomies, and to value one over the other. In this article, we would argue for an expanded understanding of cultural democracy, which may serve as a starting point for a turn of perspective of arts advocacy and cultural policy—the perspective we call an expressive cultural democracy.     

The Collaborating Cultural Organization: Legitimation through Partnerships

Abstract

The article studies the role of partnerships in Danish cultural organizations. The organizations face a legitimacy crisis. As a response they display openness to society. The article uses the theoretical framework of Orders of Worth and studies the role of the projective city in legitimation work. Openness and differentiated connections are necessary to maintain legitimacy for cultural organizations. The organizations frame their tasks as meetings and facilitation of connections, and they carry out many activities in collaboration with partners. If an organization has too few connections with others, the organization appears isolated and unattractive.     

The Romanticization of Charismatic Leadership in the Arts

ABSTRACT

This inter-disciplinary article focuses on the role, significance, and impact of charisma in cultural leadership. It brings together fresh empirical data with a critical review of the literature to investigate the role of charisma in the operation, reputation, and strategic success of arts organizations. For the first time, this article synthesizes a diverse range of literature from sociology, psychology, political science, management, and leadership studies and applies it critically to the context of the arts. This comprehensive review is compared against interviews with key stakeholders in the arts, which challenge the neo-charismatic literature on leadership and support a return to aspects of the original formulation of charisma, as envisaged by Max Weber. The article finds that charismatic leaders are seen as extraordinary individuals and are excessively romanticized by arts managers, policymakers, and audiences. It questions this normative bias and concludes that charismatic leaders should be treated with a degree of skepticism, even caution, to temper any negative impacts on "followers" and organizations.
