"经济人"的道德之维--伦理学视野中的"经济人"误读

无论是经济人 ,还是道德人 ,都只是人性的一面。人的道德行为不是全然非经济的绝对无私 ,道德没有一般地要求人们非功灭私 ,而首先达到的是行为的合宜与功效。同样 ,人的经济行为虽然根源于人的利己动机 ,但它与人的道德行为一样 ,也具有可交换的社会化特征。因此 ,作为理论抽象的经济人也有其道德合法性。

Moral Defense of "Economic Man"--A Misreading of "Economic Man" in the Ethical Sense

Just one facet of human nature is being reflected in either "economic man" or "ethical man". Man's moral activities cannot be absolutely selfless with no single economic element. Morality does not require man to deny self entirely, but rather to achieve propriety and efficacy in his activities. Although man's economic activities have their source root in his self-interest motivation, they do share with man's moral activities some basic features. Therefore, the abstract "economic man" in theory has his moral legitimacy.
