Pattern of ASEAN Regional Economic Integration and Its Impact

Affected by the globalization, the regional economic integration in the ASEAN area emerged rapidly,bring- ing about a series of structural changes. By considering the ASEAN as the leading factor in the process of regional economic integration, this integration shows its diversity and openness. Various geo-eeonomic and political impacts to the free trade zones emerge with the acceleration of this integration. In front of the new pattern of the ASEAN area after regional economic integration, China should adjust its FTA strategies in order to capture new opportunities and confront possible challenges.
