高职院校英语词汇教学对策

词汇是语言的基本材料,是一切语言活动的基础。词汇教学在整个语言教学活动中具有举足轻重的作用。针对高职院校词汇学习及词汇教学中出现的问题,并根据《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》中对词汇教学的要求,笔者从把握好词汇教学的度、重视高频词、进行显性词汇教学、关注词汇学习策略的使用四个方面探讨词汇教学的对策。

Countermeasures for Teaching English Vocabulary in Higher Vocational Colleges

Words and phrases are basic materials in a language and the basis for all forms of verbal communication.Vocabulary teaching is of vital importance in the whole course of language teaching activities.In view of the problems in vocabulary learning and teaching in higher vocational colleges and in the light of the requirements of vocabulary teaching stated in Basic Teaching Requirements of English for Higher Vocational Education,the writer discusses four countermeasures for vocabulary teaching,i.e.to grasp the "degree" of vocabulary teaching,to stress the teaching of high-frequency words,to practice explicit vocabulary teaching and to apply vocabulary learning strategies.
