| 摘 要： | 西部大开发战略是党中央提出的一项面向21世纪的战略决策,是造福中华民族子孙万代,加强民族团结的战略部署。西部是我国少数民族最为集中的区域。西部大开发给西部民族地区带来了千载难逢的历史发展机遇。重视民族问题,分析总结西北地区民族问题特点,解决好民族问题,对于推动西部大开发各项事业的发展具有重大的现实意义。在西部大开发战略实施过程中,我们要坚决打击民族分裂活动和恐怖主义,强化法制建设,努力发展民族经济,促进民族团结,形成各民族全社会的发展合力。
