Abstract: | In August 2013, the first free trade zone in mainland China --China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Shanghai Free Trade Zone) - was officially approved by the State Council. On September 29, 2013, Shanghai Free Trade Zone was formally established, starting a new round of reform and opening up and economic transformation and upgrading. It is made clear in the overall plan of Shanghai Free Trade Zone issued by the State Council on September 27, 2013 that the establishment of Shanghai Free Trade Zone is to accelerate the transformation of governmental functions in the new era, explore management mode innovation, promote trade and investment facilitation, explore new ways of comprehensively deepening reforms and expanding opening up, and accumulate new experiences, which is the strategic need of the state. |
