柳永词的"本色"

尽管许多词论把李清照之词尊为婉约之宗,但从词的特性、发展历史以及本色词与变体词的对照来看,柳永之词比李清照之词更能代表词的本色。"诗化词"、"豪放词"并不就是变体词,"婉约词"也并不就是本色词。

On the "nature" of Liu Yong's poems

Although Li Qing-zhao was considered in many poetry treatises as the ancestor of the subtle and calm school of poetry (Ci in the Chinese history of poetry), Liu Yong in fact could represent the essentials of such a poetry school much more than the former did if from the standpoint of the features and developmental history of this variety of poetry. So did if on the basis of contrast between the original Ci and its varieties. Both "Ci with the features of a poem" and "Ci with romantic style" neither mean any varieties of Ci, and the "Ci with a subtle and calm style" nor means the original Ci in style.
