论达米特的时间哲学

时间哲学是达米特哲学中最有特色的部分。他从因果关系上思考时间问题,把时间意向作为理解过去、现在与未来的关键,提出了一种“唯一关于过去的反实在论”。这种反实在论主张的基本出发点,就是不满于传统逻辑中的二值原则和真值条件语义学,试图以直觉主义逻辑和模态语义学解释时间问题,也就是试图摧毁在时间问题上的传统形而上学。

On M. Dummett's Philosophy of Time

The philosophy of time is a characteristic part of M.Dummett's philosophy.Considering the problem of time in terms of causality,Dummett interprets intention of time as the key of understanding past,present and future,thus providing "anti-realism solely about the past".The basic of the anti-realism is dissatisfaction of the principle of bivalence in classic logic and truth-condition semantics,trying to interpret the problem of time in terms of intuitionalist logic and modal semantics and to destroy traditional metaphysics of time.
