反教会运动是近代菲律宾民族主义运动的重要组成部分.近代菲律宾宗教民族主义诉求的目标是推翻西班牙教会的专制统治,争取菲律宾民族的宗教自由与平等权力.菲律宾反教会运动不仅推翻了西班牙天主教会,而且确立了"政教分离"的原则,并建立了具有民族特色的菲律宾独立教会,对推动天主教在菲律宾的本土化、多元化以及文化解殖具有重要意义.

Religious Nationalism and Cultural De-colonization:A Study on Modern Anti-clericalism in Philippines

This paper analyses the background of Filipino anti-clericalism movement at the end of 19th century,which was actually the result of the Spanish clergy's deterioration and the increasingly rising Filipino nationalism.The anti-clericalism movement not only resulted eventually in the collapse of the Spanish colonial rule based on clericalism,but also in the establishment of the rule of separation of Church and politics,which terminated Church's intervention in government administration affairs,and became an important principle in national politics afterwards.Furthermore,the establishment of Iglesia Filipina Independent not only collapsed the domination of Roman Church in Philippines,but also signaled the independence of Filipina spiritually and culturally,which produced a significant influence to the development of religion.
