略论冯桂芬在中国近代思想史上的地位

冯桂芬是近代中国具有开拓意义的、务实、深刻、影响深远的思想家。他在思想史上的贡献主要是:系统地提出了变法主张;鲜明地提出较为全面的“采西学”主张,力主在多方面向西方学习;以唯善是从消解现代化过程中的中西、古今矛盾;理智地兼顾理想与现实的关系。冯桂芬的思想对于理解以儒家为主体的中国文化,应对西方文化挑战时的能量与机制,留下了很大的研究空间。

Feng Guifeng's Role in the Modern History of Thinking

Feng Guifeng was a thinker in the modern history of thinking, who was exploiting, practical and realistic, and profoundly influential. His contributions to the history of thinking were these four: bringing forward the systematic ideas of reform, unswervingly advocating learning in diversified fields from the West, soothing and solving contradictions between China and the West and between the contemporary and the ancient in the course of modernization, giving rational attention to ideality and reality. Feng Guifeng's thinking offers a vast space for the research of comprehension of the Chinese culture which takes Confucianism as the main basis, and for the energy and mechanism in answer to challenges from the west culture.
