中国-东盟自由贸易区建设已全面启动,这为云南的发展提供了机遇。云南作为中国面向东南亚的陆路通道、经贸合作前沿和参与次区域合作的主体,将按照云南省委、省政府确定的"服务东盟、服务全国、发展云南"的总体思路,加快以昆明为中心的交通、通讯基础设施建设,促进经济走廊建设和云南城市化进程,使昆明逐步成为次区域内发展高新技术、新兴产业的中心之一。

Economic Cooperation between Yunnan and Southeast Asia in Early 21st Century

The beginning of the construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone has brought Yunnan with new opportunities. As China's passageway on land leading on to Southeast Asia, as the frontier of economy and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN, and as the major participant in the cooperation of the Sub-egion, Yunnan Province, according to the guidance of the CPC Yunnan Committee and the People's Government of Yunnan Province "to server ASEAN and China, and to further develop Yunnan," will accelerate the construction of communications centered around Kunming and promote the process of economic development and urbanization. It is aimed to build Kunming into one of the centers of Hi-Tech and new industries in the Sub-region.
