| Affiliation: | Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School. She teaches familylaw and children and the law, among other subjects. She focuses her scholarship on issues at the intersection of family law and bioethics. She has authored an article on whenadolescents should be permitted to make decisions about life-sustaining treatment. Mostrecently, she has written on when parents should be permitted to make health-care decisions on behalf of their children consistent with bioethics principles. She has presented on these and other issues at the Annual Health Law Teachers Conference sponsored by the American Society of Law, Medicine &Ethics and the International Society of Family Law Conference. She received her B.S. in social work from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. |
