The Present Situation and Characteristics of Private Part-time Chinese Education in Bangkok,Thailand

Private part-time Chinese education is one of the two major systems of Chinese education in Thailand. Its characteristics are： private property rights, with extension schools as the major form; commercialized and social-oriented operation, attaching importance to credit training, brand building, market development and public evaluation; with a wider range and a more diverse group of students ; a more reasonable structure of teachers, sex, age, educational background and learning origin, with a clear tendency toward rejuvenation, specialization and professionalization. Relatively favorable teaching conditions, more rigorous teaching norms, flexible class and courses setting, and a training mode of Chinese communicative ability-oriented all help to present various advantages in the field of Chinese language education. The development of private part-time Chinese education, with the extension of Chinese education from schools to society, from students to all the people, not only increases the number of the audience, but deepens the school level, improves the efficiency, quality and social influence of Chinese language education, and promotes its popularization and cultural exchanges between China and Thailand.
