| Abstract: | During Eisenhower Administration (1953 - 1961), the diplomatic strategy of U. S. toward China was the full - scale containment. Under this strategy, embargo was used as one of the important means by U.S. government to realize its aim. But this policy was challenged by American allies in Europe, which was illustrated in the struggle over the cancellation of "China Differential" in COCOM control system. |
