Marx's spiritual production theory is the essential part of the materialist concept of history. It is not only the theoretical ground for Marx to observe and analyze human society in order to establish his materialist concept of history, but also the important basis for him to criticize capitalist society in order to set up his theory of socialism or communism in future. However, due to the limitation of era (particularly to much lack in living matter) and misinterpretation of the materialist concept of history, Marx's spiritual production theory had not been given necessary attention and study for a long time.
