<广西北部湾经济区发展规划>已于2008年1月被国务院批准,标志着广西北部湾经济区正式确立.这是我国继上海浦东新区、天津滨海新区、成渝城乡统筹综合配套改革实验区、武汉城市周和长株潭城市群综合改革试验区之后,国家批准的第六个综合配套改革试验区,也是唯一具备国际区域经济合作功能的综合配套改革试验区.这使广西成为新一阶段我国改革开放的排头兵,也给广西带来前所未有的历史发展机遇.
