试析美国华侨华人重视自身研究的意义——电视纪录片《飘在美国》引发的思考

An Analysis on Significance of Self-Research of Ethnic Chinese: Reflections upon the Documentary Film "Adrift without Roots"

The article analyzes the phenomenon of self-research of ethnic Chinese in America reflected in the documentary film"Adrift without Roots".The article holds that the self-research of ethnic Chinese will promote the cultural exchange between China and the West,increase the cohesion of the overseas Chinese,enhance the mutual understanding between overseas Chinese and the mainstream society and other ethnic groups and,in the long run,improve international relations and contribute to the establishment of the peaceful,prosperous and harmonious world.
