This study aims to take a look at official documents for rewards and punishment issued by the police.As to the writing of this genre of official documents,choosing the appropriate type is the first step to take,followed by identifying the common writing rules for citation,reward and punishment decisions,and circulars of citation or criticism.It is true that legal documents differ from criminal documents in terms of writing traits.In addition,all types and writing requirements are various,whether they are work reports,replies to inquiries from higher authorities,or requesting superior instructions or approvals,or replies to subordinate requests for instructions.In the last place,what criminal document writing reveals can be applied to rendering guidelines for security-related legal documents.It is also true that administrative writing and criminal document writing are highly divergent in many ways,such as writing forms and types.Meanwhile,great disparities can be observed in their application scopes even though they may share the same name for the documents.
