Defending again Daily Life Criticism--On the basic meaning of Lefebvre's second volume of Daily Life Criticism

Lefebvre is the founder of western Marxism who is well-known but understood by few people. Compared with his other important works, the second volume of his Daily Life Criticism, for various reasons, is obscure. Actually, the book has important and unique position and value because it's the only one in which Lefebvre expounds specially and systematically the concept and basic category of daily life. The first volume in a large extent is still an abstract philosophical and artistic criticism while the second one redefines the concept of daily life criticism, forms a complete philosophical system and sociological methodology of criticizing modern daily life, establishes the notion that daily life exists as "level" or "platform" and describes a picture of the constellation of the moments which is different from the ideal of traditional socialist political revolution.
