SHAREEN HERTEL is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Connecticut and holds a joint appointment with the university's Human Rights Institute, where she co‐directs the Economic Rights Research Group. She is the author of Unexpected Power: Conflict and Change Among Transnational Activists and co‐editor of Economic Rights: Conceptual, Measurement, and Policy Issues.;2. LYLE SCRUGGS is an associate professor of political science at the University of Connecticut and interim director of the Connecticut Center for Survey Research and Analysis. He is author of Sustaining Abundance: Environmental Performance in Industrial Democracies. His articles have appeared in American Journal of Political Science, World Politics, and Journal of Politics.;3. C. PATRICK HEIDKAMP is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and also serves on the graduate faculty in the Program in Urban Studies at Southern Connecticut State University. In addition, he is an affiliate of the Economic Rights Research Group at the University of Connecticut's Human Rights Institute.
