论当代中国的政治发展

当代中国特色社会主义事业正处在一个发展的关键时期，要推动中国社会的发展和进步根本上取决于党。要按照改革开放的基本路线和基本政策以及党的十六大、十七大的精神努力巩固党的执政基础和提高党的执政能力，必须要在政治上用“两个民主”推动发展和改革，在社会经济上真正解决贫富悬殊这个根本问题，在文化上对马克思主义、西方文化、中国传统文化及其相互关系有一个科学的态度和方法。
