This paper intends to take an insight into Japan political culture and its impact on foreign policies. Japan's political culture is characterized by pluralism , which leads to its duplicity and ambiguity in foreign polices. In foreign affairs, it seeks for " each being in its proper place, each getting what deserved" ; tries to enhance its foreign impact as well as enlarge its territory. Shintonism plays an important role in pinning down foreign policies and policy makers. Shame Culture leads to sensitivity in foreign affairs, which is a passive response to the external world, as a result the morality is less concerned. Chiquism results in modesty in foreign affairs and alignment with other countries.
