The Anti-absorption Investigation of EU in Perspective:Introduction and Inspirations

EU provides for the anti-absorption investigation on the basis and in furtherance of anti-dumping investigation,with a purpose of filling gaps left over by anti-dumping investigation and imposing further duties against dumping products that have absorbed the effects of the duties already in place.This paper is aimed at offering a systemic research on this subject.First,this paper explores into the background of EU anti-absorption investigation.Then,efforts are addressed at the procedures and measures provided for thereto and to investigate into the reasonableness and legitimacy of this mechanism.Then,this paper offers suggestions for China on how to handle cases of this kind and for China how to provide for anti-absorption investigation in related laws and regulations.
