Introduction and Comments on Practice of Community Corrections in Gulou District of Nanjing

Gulou district of Nanjing is demonstration units of community corrections in Jiangsu province.Many unique approaches are formed which worth reference for other districts.The practice of Gulou district teaches us to think about these issues including the reform of community corrections agencies,Pre-trial assessment,the relationship between correction officers and the role of the public security organs in community corrections.To resolve the issues exposed,we should strengthen the community building.Foster non-governmental organizations and promote personalized correction to improve the system of community corrections gradually.
