| 摘 要： | Taishan Scenic Area Taishan Mountain is located in the city of Taian, Shandong Province. With an elevation of 1,545 meters above the sea level at its peak and covering 426 square km, Taishan is honored as the "supreme of the five sacred mountains" and the "No.1 mountain under heaven." It is both a natural mountain park and the epitome of the history and culture of the Chinese nation. It was added to the World Heritage List of cultural and natural properties by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 1987.
