| Abstract: | On October 23, 2008 a high-profile ceremony was held in the auditorium of the Changping campus of China University of Political Science and Law （CUPL） to inaugurate the newly established China-EU School of Law （CESL）. In an address delivered at the inaugural ceremony, Chinese Vice-Premier Li Keqiang, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, said that he was pleased to be attending the ceremony for the inauguration of CESL at CUPL on behalf of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, together with Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission. |
