Cultural Selections of Technology

The cultural diversity of modern technology practice showed that technology was not only a singular closed process but also a reconstructing social phenomenon immersed in cultural factors, such as social background, economic structures, cultural customs and aesthetics traditions. In this article, the author will analyze the cultural factors in which technology is rooted, so as to discuss the possibility and reality of cultural selections of technology. Based on this premise, the author will discuss the culture forces, value evaluation and innovation ecology in the process of cultural selections of technology. As a result, technology is viewed as complicated culture process including many factors. All the analyzing will benefit policy-making in our country.
