＂Strengthening Forensic Science In The United States： A Path Forward＂,published by National Research Council of NAS in February 2009,pointed that there were serious deficiencies in the current United States forensic science system and many subjects actually were not reliable in Forensic practice.By deliberately analyzing the background of its publication and the debates and feedbacks after its publication,this thesis shows that major arguments still exist in whether to build a whole new National Forensic Science Institute,and whether to keep the criminal labs independent from the law enforcement departments.This report could be a good reference to China′s forensic science system reform.All of the transparent decision procedure,multilevel policies and comprehensive approaches could be a good example to China′s forensic science development.
