An Analysis of Different Morpheme Sequences of Compound Modifier Structures

There are modifier-head morpheme sequence and head-modifier one in modem Chinese compound modifi- er nouns, of which the later attracts much more attention, for its accidence structure is not consistent with that of modem Chinese syntax. Since it is not proper to judge the structure relationship only by the semantic structure, and due to the restriction of ruler conciseness, the morpheme sequence of a modifier-center compound structure ought to be regarded as modifier-head morpheme sequence.
