政治文化具有滞后性特征,因此,某些传统政治文化对我国现代民主政治仍然有着不可忽视的影响。在古代,中国传统的“尚忍”价值观的流行是有一定的社会背景的,而在今天的中国,这种价值观的存在则不利于中国民主政治的发展,是我们应该坚决摈弃的。
