| Abstract: | Cyclical inflations not only cause serious economical destruction to the developing countries of ASEAN,but also closely related to the occurrences of debt and financial crises.Therefore,this paper investigates the main factors that associated with the start of 30 inflation episodes between 1970 and 2008 in 4 emerging market economies(EMEs)of ASEAN,namely Indonesia,Malaysia,Philippines and Thailand,and attempts to find out the deep conflicts of macro-economics behind the inflation phenomenon. |
