U.S.and Philippine are traditional allies.Early in 1951,the two countries signed the common defense agreement leading to their alliance being a vital link on the chain of the cold war.After the cold war,the ally relationship between U.S.and Philippine has been diminished.However,in the beginning years of the 21st century,in order to combat the terrorist threat,their ally relationship has taken on a fast track.
