| Abstract: | English poetry has its unique charm in English literature. This paper gives the appreciation from a pure poetic aspect for A Psalm of Life, written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It pays attention to the poem itself as to the language structure, style, theme, rhythm, writing skills. This paper's organization follows two general systems, the phonological system and the content system, to analyze the poem in order to reveal some beauty of English poetry. |
