Case management service in community correction is a professional way of social service to provide assistance to individual offenders faced with multi-difficulties and unable to make effective use of social resources, and to help them get reintegrated into the society smoothly. The purpose of this service is to help develop a social resources network for offenders under community supervision and to help them develop the ability to use the network so that they could establish a harmonious relationship with the social environment and obey social norms. As it is a way of social service, social resources are reasonably employed and accordingly the cost for correcting offenders can be cut down. This service could provide high quality service to offenders under community supervision when used in grass-roots community corrections programs.
