Hudhud: the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Ifugao Philippine

As the representative of cultural diversity in Southeast Asia,Hudhud,the oral tradition of Ifugao indigenous people in Philippines is the first enlisted in the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.In the first part of this paper,it introduces the academic history of Ifugao people and Hudhud,and then the paper pays attention to the local notion,social function and detailed performance genre of Hudhud.In the last part of the paper,it explores the dilemma of Hudhud facing modern civilization and the cultural protective action both at home and abroad.
