The Hindu civilization, in its historical development, affected the whole Indonesian archipelago. However, as Islamic and Christian cultures gradually made their way to the east, the influence of Hinduism gradually died away in most of the Indonesian areas, except in Bali where the Hinduism has not only survived, but has also developed continuously.
