On Ronald J.Oakerson＇s Theory of Governing Local Public Economies and its Enlightenment

One of the important managerial functions of local government is to provide public goods and services.There are two views on the provision approaches：the Integration of local government and competition between local Governments.From the angle of cooperation,Ronald J.Oakerson proposed a theory of Governing Local Public Economies and challenged the above views.The production and delivery of public goods should focus on how to improve the performance of government organization with the structure of local public economies,which provide a new way of thinking for the administrative authorities.
