| Abstract: | The "eastern question" is a significant issue in the modern history of international relations. In course of the Turkish empire declining rapidly, the great powers of Europe started to scramble for the empire's heritage. Among the powers, Russia was a chief director in the partitions of Turkey. The Russo-Turkish war (1787-1791) launched by Catherine II was the mark of the eastern event created finally. |
