在微观经济理论中,我国农业属于典型的完全竞争产业。现代产业组织理论认为,市场结构决定市场绩效,农产品特别是粮食的生产与农民农业收入的矛盾难以解决,根本原因在于我们默认了农产品市场是完全竞争市场,并一直在完全竞争的市场结构内寻求最佳市场绩效的途径。由此,提高我国农业的市场绩效,非彻底改变我国农业市场结构性质不可,从完全竞争市场走向有效竞争市场。农业产品上,沿同质向差别方向调整;农户数量上,沿无数农户向相对少数农户调整。

According to micro-economics, our country's agriculture belongs to the typical all-competent industry. The theory of modern industrial organization thinks that market structure determines market efficiency. The essential cause for the contradiction between the production of agricultural products, especially grain, and peasants' farm income lies in that we have tacitly approved that the market of farm produce is an all-competent market and have been searching for the way to the best market efficiency from such an all-competent market structure. Therefore, if we want to raise the market efficiency of our country's agriculture, we have to change the nature of the market structure from an all-competent market to an efficient-competent one, adjust agricultural products from homogeny to difference and the number of peasant households from innumerable to relative few.
