Probe into Financial Holding Company Law of Taiwan

For adopting the international tide of multi-business in a financial institution and Taiwan's entry into WTO, Taiwan issued Financial Holding Company Law in 2001, which is the legal basis of Taiwan financial institutions' multi-business. Meanwhile, the law provides definition, incorporation, scope of business, rule of action and supervision of financial holding company,which is helpful for mainland China to select the type of multi-business of financial institutions and to prescribe the measures of supervision.
