侠义精神作为一种个体道德规范，在中国的伦理价值体系中占有重要地位。但侠义精神具有局限性，表现为其狭隘性和模糊性。这种局限性使其在演变过程中被改造为帮会文化。随着帮会转变为黑社会组织，侠义精神成为黑社会组织的文化伪装，用以欺骗民众，而黑社会真正信奉的则是帮会文化。
