社会主义和谐社会的精神气质与社会结构培育

支撑一个社会健康运行的精神气质,必然根植于其民族文化的深厚土壤之中。相较于西方社会经由中产阶层培育完成的社会结构性完善,进而实现的近现代文明的奠基之路,中国恰恰缺乏对民族传统文化和现代社会结构演化的有机复合。如果说,西方希腊的理性传统、罗马的法治精神、优化的社会结构与现代工业文明所带来的社会进化相得益彰,催生了西方社会现代化及其精神气质,那么,中国两千多年的专制集权造成的中间群体的历史性缺失和优秀传统文化现代化发展的困境,急需一个中等收入社会群体的形成和群体素养的提高,将为中国现代化进程中培育健康、高雅的精神气质提供结构性支撑。哈贝马斯的"公共领域"对此提供丰富资源。
