试谈公安院校英语教学改革思路

当前,英语在警务工作实践中的运用日益广泛。公安院校的英语教学改革,必须以适应公安警务实战发展的需求为基点,确立科学的改革思路:注重挖掘语篇材料的思想内涵,强化“文道相长”的教化功能;紧密结合公安警务实践,强化警务专业英语应用能力的培养;改革课程设置,把英语教学贯穿于学生在校学习的全过程。

A Tentative Discussion over Train of Thoughts on English Teaching Reforms in Public Security Colleges and Universities

In nowadays,English is more and more widely used in policing work practice,so it is essential for public security colleges and universities to establish scientific train of thoughts on English teaching reforms based on adapting to the requirements from public security policing practice,namely,to emphasize on digging into the ideological connotation of literary materials for an accentuated educational function of conveying truth to students;to intensify the cultivation of students' abilities to apply policing major English while closely combining with public security policing practice;and to make reforms on course arrangements so as to run English teaching throughout the entire process of students' study at school.
