Issues of Post-war Nationalism in a Global Context

The nationalistic problems after the cold war, of which the most serious and remarkable is nationlist separatism, have spread all over the world. A series of national disputes and conflicts, which have been triggered off by the nationalistic problems, have overshadowed world peace and development and impeded the process of world economic globalization and regional economic integration, and challenged the existing principles and rules of international relations, and at the same time, put a question to statesmen and scholars of various countries with respect to the ways of handling the relations between the principles of national sovereignty and those of national self- determination under new circumstances.
