Promoting the Regional Cooperation in Yangtze River Delta

The author analyzes the strategic significance to promote the regional development in Yangtze River Delta （YRD） and the challenges faced, puts forward such concerning strategies to boost the regional cooperation in YRD as following： to roll out the regional development planning in YRD as soon as possible and promote the institu- tionalization of the regional cooperation ; to boost the development of US dollar - denominated off - shore markets in Asian nations and accelerate constructing ＂Shanghai International Financial Hub＂ ; to support the healthy development of small and medium - sized enterprises and enhance the construction of scientific and technological innovation cooperative system in YRD; to utilize international resources to accelerate scientific and technological innovation, taking low -carbon industries as priority; to integrate regional environmental policy and establish the coordinating mechanism for regional environmental protection; to support Anhui province to participate in the regional cooperation in YRD.
