On the Importance of Lexical Approach to the Translation in CET4&6

According to the modification of CET4＆6’s syllabus,which ismade by the committee of National College English Test,wehave found that thedesign and scores of the translation part in thepaper had abig change.The translations in CET4＆6 become more and more important than before. The college English teaching needs a more effective teaching approach to cope with the test of CET4＆6. The paper lists the requirements of the test and the problems,which usually happen in English translation. Based on the definition and sorts of lexical chunks,the paper gives an analysis on lexical approach,which makes an important role in improving the ability of students’ English translation.
