公安工作要求干警在掌握公安业务理论的同时,也要注重实践能力和素质的养成。公安院校实践课程是促进院校学员各项素质全面发展的有效途径,在培养院校学员的警用技能、体能素质、擒敌技术等方面发挥着不可替代的作用。而当今公安院校的教育对实践课程不够重视,造成公安院校学员的能力素质与公安岗位要求不相适应。在公安院校教育中应重视实践课程教育,全面提升学员的能力水平,以适应公安院校学员第一任职的需要,从而造就一支素质全面、能力卓越的干警队伍。
