西方警察角色界定的研究

由于从事的工作不同，肩负的职责不同，不同的行业在社会中所扮演的角色也不同？警察是国家暴力机器的组成部分，其角色被定义为“打击犯罪的战士”；警察又是社会公共安全服务的提供者，从这个角度看，警察是“服务民众的公仆”。除此之外，警察还被赋予了其他多种角色，但是也多与其工作性质和内容联系在一起．．对于西方警察角色的界定，有助于我国警务改革过程中界定警察的核心职能。

Study on the Definition of Western Police Roles

Belonging to different works and duties, professions with different characters play different roles in society. On one hand, the police is an component of the country machine, which makes itself defined as the ＂criminal fighter＂; on the other hand, it is the social public security provider, carrying the duty of ＂civil servant of the people＂. Besides, the police have some other roles, and all are related to the characters and contents of its works. Thus, the study of the definition of western police roles will be helpful in the defining of the duties and powers of people＇ s police in our country＇s policing reformation.
